Nitro takes the hard work out of admin work for the MAAG Group’s IT team
Part of a multibillion global manufacturer, Dover, the MAAG Group provides process technology solutions for the polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. Many of the company’s 1,200 employees need to use PDF editing software as part of their day-to-day work. Until recently, however, the company’s IT team had no clear idea of exactly how many employees had licenses–or which specific tools they were licensed to use.
IT Operations and Applications Manager, Murat Özdemir, explains: “Our business has acquired several companies in recent years, and many of the people who joined us through acquisition brought their existing solutions with us. This was proving challenging for the team because there were simply too many different PDF programs for us to manage.”
It was time to switch to a standardized solution that would reduce the administrative burden on the IT function and make it easier for MAAG Group employees to collaborate across teams and locations.
After assessing the array of PDF editing tools being used across the business, the MAAG Group team identified Nitro PDF Pro as the ideal solution for the company’s primary PDF editing tool (with one other provider also being retained for limited use cases).
Key factors that helped Nitro stand above other PDF solutions were its cost-effectiveness and usability. But, for Murat, there is another crucial benefit to making Nitro the company’s go-to PDF editing tool. He explains: “We have about 1,200 users around the world, and 700 in Germany alone. Through Nitro’s admin portal, I can instantly see who all those users are. And if we need more licenses, I can simply add them. Nitro makes license management much easier and increases transparency, which made our lives so much easier.”
The Results
“For us, standardizing software and licenses was the big challenge. With Nitro, we have found a powerful and easy-to-use solution–and the admin portal is a real relief, saving time, money, and worry.”
