Managing an organization’s IT assets can be challenging enough, but what about the additional need to secure all these assets? This is where the IT Asset Manager truly shines, as they can see the wider lens of assets and build security barriers to prevent data leaks.

Steve Klos, ITAM Subject Matter Expert at 1E, notes that establishing a strong asset management system has three distinct security benefits for IT infrastructures:

  • Ability to remove and dispose of older software
  • Ability to regularly validate, update, and patch software
  • Establish an organization-wide software policy

Masters of Infrastructure and Security always have a keen eye to security risks within their infrastructures, and institute policies to prevent data attacks across the entire IT spectrum.

Congratulations to the five masters we’re honoring in this area!
